The internet as we know it today, is one of the greatest inventions of man.  It has shaped us into what we are today as a society.   The internet, along with business websites, have helped countless people achieve financial prosperity with their business.  This is through the goldmine of internet marketing, and below I give a few tips on how to increase traffic on your website so you can get “MORE business, for YOUR business.”
  1. You need to have a Blog; a Blog is a website filled with information, and it is written in an informal fashion, like a diary.  This that you are reading right now, is a perfect example of a blog.  This is talking about something that my client would benefit from, or would be interested in.  Having a blog enables you to have more traffic to your website, and also allows you to build your brand (and get more sales).  If you have a blog it is easier for people to find you on search engines and thus; more people will visit your website.
  2. Have a social media presence; Instagram, Facebook, twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest, to name a few, are some of the most popular social media sites around today.  Having a social media presence is paramount in generating more traffic to your website, as you are able to build a brand through your posts.  This also helps you in connecting with people who visit your website.  This does however, require installation of the pixel into the website code.
  3. Making a Youtube channel; Youtube is currently the 3rd largest website in the world. Having a YouTube channel can help you increase your traffic to your website, simply because you can post videos that relate to your brand, while offering the link to your website below the video.  YouTube channels appeal to millennials and younger demographics, so there’s that bonus.  Plus, it’s quite easy to make YouTube videos.  All you need is good content, a decent camera, and a bright smile.  Your website will definitely get more traffic, which is why video has become one of the most popular ways to do internet marketing.
  4. Starting a Podcast; if you’re shy on camera, you can start a podcast.  A podcast is your own radio show that you record, and then can list for download for your listeners and subscribers.  Most business owners that take this approach use the podcast to talk about issues that matter to their customer base, and use it to promote a brand at the same time.  You can provide a link to your website so that the listeners can access it.
  5. Leveraging the Analytics; to reach a certain goal, one must plan and have a record of how he/she is going to reach that goal.  Analytics, which is the simply the analysis of data, can be done on your website.  This will show the demographics of how your visitors behave on your website, and can be used to further optimize your website to better suit your customer.  Google Analytics is a free tool that can enable you to do just that.

So there you have it.  If you employ these tips on your website, you are guaranteed to have more traffic.  In otherwords, you will have “MORE business, for YOUR business.”

If you have a website for your business, you probably how important it is to have as much traffic as possible.  A high google ranking helps you achieve this by getting more clicks on your website.  One of the most important things, is that you have your keywords that you would like to rank for, prominent in your website content.  Aside from that, you can also improve your rank on Google by making sure you do the following:

  • Fix any technical SEO issues on your site: The presence of technical issues on your site can greatly influence your Google ranking.  Most of the most common issues are typically simple fixes, and there are a variety of tools one can use to locate technical SEO site issues in your site.  For example, you can use our free audit tool that goes through your website and identifies the technical problems in relation to SEO.  You can use that tool by clicking HERE.
  • Find and eliminate Outdated or zombie pages;  Google does not want you to publish just for the sake of volume or the size of your site, but they prefer you to publish fewer, but high quality pages.  As the saying goes; “Quality over Quantity”.  Zombie pages can be for example pages with duplicate content, old press releases, or old search results pages, or pages that no longer have any value. These are also called “dead URL’s.  Google hates these, and it appears that your page is not maintained, and therefore not an authority.
  • On-page SEO optimization; You should also individually optimize the actual pages on your website.  A great example of this is using LSI keywords, which are terms that are closely related to your keyword. When you use these terms as the title of your page, or at the beginning of your pages, you will get a rankings boost for those keywords.  Be careful though, don’t stuff the keyword too many times on one page.  This will get you a penalty from Google, and can hurt your rankings.

If your website visitors are waiting more than three seconds for your page to load, you are losing up to 40% of your site visitors."

  • Optimize title and description tag for click-through rate (CTR)  CTR  is a huge ranking factor in that; the more people searching for a keyword that click on your result, the more Google acknowledges your link as the best result.  This means that in your Meta Title and Meta Description, make sure you use keywords and phrasing that is going to result in a higher link click rate.  For example:  If you are a plumber, it would be best to use terms like “Emergency Plumbing, City Name, Top Rated”, as opposed to “Plumber, Plumbing, looking for plumber”.
  • Optimize the dwell time of your website; Dwell time is simply the amount of time one spends on your website.  The other side of this is the bounce rate.  The longer the dwell time, the lower the bounce rate.  Dwell time can be increased by; making your introductions more catchy and sticky so as to glue the reader.   Also, make the page more appealing to the readers eye.  This will definitely increase the dwell time.  The best thing to decrease the bounce rate, is engaging content.  If your page offers information, make it readily available, easily and clearly.  If you offer a service, make contacting the company the most apparent option on the page.  Also, bounce rate skyrockets if your page doesn’t load quickly, which brings me to my next point.
  • Improve the page loading speed; If your website visitors are waiting more than three seconds for your page to load, you are losing up to 40% of your site visitors. You should therefore improve the loading speed of your page.  This can be done by a variety of ways, including the minimization of additional html and javascripts that you have on the page.  It can also help to decrease the size of the images on your website.  Most folks use high definition images on their site, which looks great.  The problem is, that those HD images can take some time to load, and loading speed is HUGE when it comes to your Google ranking.  There are free tools that you can use to analyze the speed of your website, including one of the best by Google.

If you employ these steps you absolutely are going to improve your Google rankings and therefore, increase your website traffic!  If you have any questions about any of these steps, or would just like some additional information on how to get your website generating business for you everyday, just reach out by phone, or Contact Us by clicking HERE.

No matter if you are well-versed with the internet, or you have just started working on your online presence, you should work to familiarize yourself with SEO and SEO tools. Below are some of the useful guidelines which will help you in making your content more visible and user-friendly.

1.  A clear and an updated website structure: A proper website structure and navigation is very important for the proper internet marketing of your content. All the search engines have a proper index and structure through which they rank your website. If you use an appropriate system of indexing them, then Google will take and rank your content the way you want, and it will do so quicker than the websites that have not taken the time to do it properly.  Search engine crawlers will easily find your pages and subpages if you have properly indexed them.
Proper navigation protocol will help your website visitors find what they are searching for, with as little work as possible on their end.  If they have to search through your website for the product, service, or contact info, your bounce rate will be higher.  In other words, your visitors will leave your site without doing what you want them to do.  That could be making a purchase, or filling out a form.  The three click search rule should be applicable on your website. It means that’s within three clicks a user should get what he or she is looking for on any website.

2.
URL address: When choosing a URL address for your website make it short, simple and comprehensive. Your URL should describe your website and its content.  It should also include your primary keyword.  This will help your site rank higher on search engines, for the terms that you want to rank for.  Search engines first look at your website URL then add it to their index list. Extra-long and boring URL’s are not liked on any platform. Do good research, and choose a URL that is short, easy to remember, and contains your main keyword.  Your website will continue to benefit long term, as long as you follow these guidelines.

3.  Use appropriate keywords: Always find the keywords which will work for you and your niche. The idea when it comes to finding your best keywords is to find out the list of appropriate keywords that users search when they want to find material like the content on your website. One of the SEO tools is Google planner. It will give you a nice list of keywords for your website and will save your half time.

Use the most popular keywords from the list that you generate from your keyword research tools.  Now, competition of the keywords also matters when doing your research.  Keywords that you are going to use for your website content should have a low or no competition.  It means that not every other website in your niche is using these keywords. Otherwise, your website will lack creativity. Use different types of keywords. Google will reward you for it.

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. The basic aim of SEO I  your content, is to refine the keyword search in any search engine. E.g. you link your keyword with the search engines, and if any user enters that specific keyword in their search, it will lead to your website. SEO is used to display the specific web content, and it can be of any type. SEO content can be derived into several categories. So the basic goal is to attract any search engine traffic towards your web content.
Things that are needed to optimize your content:
Here are some of the best ways in which you can optimize your content:
  1. Specific keyword search:  So this is the FIRST thing to focus on if you want to attract more traffic on your content.  You have to search and find the most searched keywords for your particular niche.  It will tell you the volume of keywords that are being searched on the search engines.  In this way, you can write content using these keywords and will definitely attract more users.
  2. Optimization of keyword:  In order to maximize your exposure on search engines, you need to be an expert in putting the keywords at right places.  A lot of folks make the mistake of putting the keywords in their content in such a way, that it doesn’t read well.  Google is smart.  They know when you are putting the keyword too much in the content.  This is known as “Keyword Stuffing”.  This brings us to the next point.
  3. The organization of content:  All the content on your website should be arranged in a logical way.  If utilized properly, your website visitors will stay longer on your web page.  The longer that people stay on your website, the more likely they are to purchase your products and services.  If your content is not laid out in an attractive and readable way, your visitors won’t make it past the first page before they leave.  You can measure how long visitors stay on your website.  This is known as your bounce rate, and you want a LOW bounce rate.
  4. Marketing:  Today is the era of social media.  In terms of marketing, Social Media provides a great value.  Make sure to share your website and services often on your social media pages, and try to post new content when you can.  When you have posted anything new on your Social Media, make sure that it is more visible to everyone.  Make all of your business related posts “visible to public”.  Anytime you update your site or add new content, share it on your social media and promote your brand.
